Yeah,

The cluster of four bolts directly above the front axle when the loader is down... button heads to the inside... every bit painted green...

Looking at the remnants, I see a bit of rust in the fracture area, so the cracks had been there for some (?) time...

Talked to Peabody Lawn & Leisure in Houlton, they asked me "what do YOU want us to do?" In the good sense, as in whatever you need, give the word... GREAT dealer!

I asked for seven more replacements so I could swap them all out & torque them myself, and they'll be here by Saturday! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If the paint on around the bolts on mine is not cracked or popped off (indicating the nuts or bolt heads have rotated), can I assume they are still OK?

Based on what has been described the broken bolts sound like a classic case of Hydrogen embrittlement. Are they zinc plated?

It will be stone mostly. I don't think it weighs 1300 lbs. I'm thinking around 1000 most of the time. I will just take smaller loads if I have to. Just talked the dealer and 1700 is breakout on the 300CX. He lifted 1550lbs to 7 feet no problem, Not that I would. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Not really a schematic, it's a black and white photo from the operator's manual that they have posted online. I nabbed it, and Photoshop'ed in the red circle and arrow.
