Ukraine using armed dune buggies?

Why not? Pickups are cheap, part supply is excellent and it's easy to get people to service them. It's not so long ago that all army's used light and unarmed vehicles.

They put rocket launchers on a side-by-side: with a 50 yard remote control they arent near them if the enemy strikes back immediately, so if they do, they have lost only a cheap vehicle while the trained operator comes back to base with one of the others.

After all, wars are won by inflicting more losses (either capital or manpower) to the enemy than he is able to replace, while being able to replenish your own losses.

So, loosing a 100.000 dollar four wheeler with a rocket launcher on top, operated from a safe distance, to take out an 800.000 dollar tank with a crew of three, is a great battle result, it drains enemy resources much faster than your own, and when a war lasts longer than a few months, thats how wars are won.

The Russian army has donated more tanks and APCs than any ally, because they left them when retreating.

Furthermore, the Russians know this is Afghanistan 1979 all over again: Fighting an enemy of free people, trained and equipped by Western allies, with an army of unwilling conscripts.

The difference is that this time, Europe is aiding too. Even Eastern European countries that know they will be next if Putin isnt stopped in Ukraine.

Sometimes it sounds strange when defence against an obvious danger to the world, or e.g. the admission of Finland and Sweden to the NATO Alliance depends on elections or some countries (such like Hungary or Turkey). It seems we didn't learn the lessons of WW2.

Dune buggies are really effective in UA. Among other jobs they work fast and well in battery charging/replacement service for drone operators.
