Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel Warning

Perhaps, but nonetheless, the warning is posted on the pump at a local Valero station and states that it is 15 ppm sulpher.

LOL, Valero is a reputable petrochemical corporation and they are stating that their ULSD will destroy all diesel engines manufactured in the future?

This seems in direct contradiction to all the current urban jungle tales stating that ULSD will destroy all the diesel engines ever made prior to 2007.

So, if we are to understand the latest internet rumor in its entirety, we should correctly now state:

ULSD will destroy all diesel engines that have been made prior to 2007 and then will continue to destroy all diesel engines that are made at anytime in the future after 2007 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

It seems a little perplexing that all of California, Texas and Europe have been using ULSD for years in all their diesels without any of these imaginary problems..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As I've stated before, rest assured that no oil company will produce a fuel that 99% of its consumers cannot use... Dont belive the hype... Now, I still recomend an additive regardless of the sulfer content..

Well, the truth is that the State of Minnesota mandated the use of 2% Soy derived Biodiesel in all diesel fuel sold in the state and then proceeded to destroy hundreds of diesel engines and require that all the diesel fuel in the State of Minnesota be condemned for two months while they struggled to get some diesel fuel shipped into the state to replace all the diesel fuel that was fouled by the bad biodiesel fuel......

So, here we have a biodiesel "lubricant" added to diesel fuel and it ends up wrecking all the diesel engines all over the state, when it was "supposed" to be such a good thing.....

I completely agree, Bio is a state authorized(mandated) fiasco....At this point it causes many more problems than it solves.. I still find it impossible to believe that ULSD will cause the issues that some would like you to believe..
