chuck the 2 wires into a drill, tie off the other ends, pull slightly as you spin slowly, and it'll twist up nicely.

That is how I did it...Work smart not hard!

Thanks for the advice. I finally finished my install last weekend and using the drill worked great. Once I got the wires chucked tightly in the drill, they twisted together nicely. Even better, the fence worked the first time I hooked it up!
