CTyler, I have to admit, even after the power increase I noted above that I'm guessing is due to the fuel change and break-in, mine would not even think of doing what you say you can do with yours (3.5 MPH in mid range up a 20% slope) with that kind of load in tow??? Must be nice. Even with the 723 and the BH 90 dropped mine wouldn't do that with the throttle pegged in mid range and that kind of load behind on 20%. Reason I know is your total pull weight would exceed mine with just the trailer, dirt and box blade, assuming I had the FEL and BH on and you had just that (no FEL). Mine would do it at say 2200 to 2400 RPM in low range. Pull it that is, speed not even considered. Here's the limits on mine in Mid range
after the power increase I noted:
723 FEL on
BH 90 on
(2) rear ballasted R4 tires
It struggles at 1/3 pedal at full throttle in mid range (at least can do it in M now) on a 12 to 14% slope as loaded above and not doing any other work. Maybe, maybe 3 mph max. with an egg on the pedal. Mid range is still a nearly unservicible range on my slopes for all practical purposes for just that reason. All of my slopes actually!! If I go to low and back off the pedal enough it has adequate power but it's just rather slow. It was unbearably slow before the fuel change in low as loaded above on the same 20% slope.
Raymondo is onto something here that few are experiencing. Note that he finally came around to let us know this ain't his first tractor. I'm somewhere in between his problem and what you and others are getting our of theirs. High range on mine was unusable before the fuel change. Maybe now it will actually run on the flat. It wouldn't. It really seriously struggled in high range on flat terrain when I got it but I'll have to try it now. I'm betting Kubota has an issue with a small group of tractors and this power problem or others. It's a manmade product and subject to issues. What I don't understand is the difference in time. Mine was delivered in early December. I also don't understand the 24 PTO HP (per spec) that his tractor is making and the fact that his is notably worse than mine in performance, or so he describes. Raymondo has had his for some time. I'm betting there is something to this and that his complaints are valid. I've run nearly every kind of equipment under the sun over the years (tractors excepted in all fairness) and really guys, never experienced low power like this.
I don't want to admit to the power issues I'm experiencing after dropping allot of coin any more than anyone with a good functioning tractor really wants to hear it. But this is the place with the brains.... and if it can be figured out or stumbled upon... the knowledge or direction is going to initiate here. It sure isn't in this small skull or I'd have his solution. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Kubota may take this thread the wrong way but I suggest they get someone with real
L3130 seat time to give this guy or myself a visit. If we are up a tree, then so be it. I'll be up here to advise you I was just a little nuts ( already confirmed) expecting too much, etc. etc.. I think there is something here for them to learn on their product. An opportunity actually, if they have the sense to exercise it.
Still smilin. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Somewhat aggitating but awful good thread guys!!! Speaks allot to all. And it's still a good tractor!!!!!!!!!! Just has some issues. Thanks!!
