I have a dk55 2005 model. It has been very trouble free, and all I expected. I bought it for the cab comforts. I am 6 ft tall, and the controls are very good.Only thing I see as a negative is the push button pto. It engages light weight bush hogs abruptly, however my heavy duty models are not an issue. Air conditioning is great. I like to be able to push the button for 4-wheel drive while moving, just like my GMC. I like the way it sips fuel compared to my other tractors. I wisometimes wish the wheelbase was longer, but the turning radius is very good as is, and I can deal with the bounce from time to time. I love the self leveling loader whenusing the pallet forks. I felt this was the absolute best bang for my buck when I bought it. And I bought it from a dealer 200 miles away. I figure if it is half as good as the hondas I have had a dealer is not someone I need next door. Just as long as I can get him to send me things when I need them.

I guess I should start again with a new question. Any of you people that have a DK model can you tell me some of your likes and dislikes as far as operator comfort and ease of operation? I would like to know on both cab and non cab models. I know that I can go to a dealer and drive one around the yard but that is not like the years of expenerence that is in here.
I have a Dk40se and love it.The plus side for me was it was more heavy duty than the Kubota grand L 4240 and mahindra 4110 I was looking at.The price was $7,000 cheaper than the kubota and $2100 less than the mahindra,a 4 year warrenty on the Kioti helps to.The KL 401 loader on my Kioti will lift about 500-600 more lbs verses the other two.Easy mantience points. The bad,I think the paint job could be a little nicer.coobie

I sat in my friends DK 55 today when we visited the dealer. I did not drive it because the seat was too close to the floor, nor did I try to adjust it. I knew thatI would have to rasie it a min of 3 inches to have any comfort at all. That put my head too close the the top of the cab. Still looking for a cab tractor.

yeah, I know cyberroc - go back to my first post and you'll see the primary tillage comment...

Island Tractor really raves about his Kioti, which is a strong rec in my book, I know he's using it hard. I'd never heard of kioti before getting a kubota and coming on here, but I've been pretty impressed by what I've heard about kioti hear.

And the fact that bobcat is willing to just repaint and hang their name on the brand also speaks pretty highly to me.

Are you over 6ft.? I felt a bit tight in the DK45S Cab but not in the DK55/DK65 Cab.

I am not trying to steal the thread but please read about my troubles in "owning and operating" Some dealers sent me pictures etc but not one said "look for this service bulletin". I asked about recalls, retrofits, and service bulletins but was told none existed. Kioti is a good tractor but as I and others have stated here, their customer service side ...well ..er ...SUCKS.

I have put alot of hours into doing my research and there are some good dealers, alot of good dealers. All I needed was one of them to send me the service bulletin and it was great. To them I say thank you.

. . . I see you are in New York which means I would deal with no other than Rick Wallace, period. I am in Virginia and I still like to deal with Rick.

After going through all of this I would agree. I would buy from him. When I was getting hit with a bunch of crap and other dealers slamming him I was being blinded. Now that I got this paperwork. I understand his initial comments when I called him back in a panic in Feb.

In case your interested, this is what the dealers had for 2 1/2 years. They said it was abuse. It was poor design.

I think customer service these days pretty much sucks on whatever products you buy,ford,chevy,dodge,wal-mart,mahindra and so on.The key is to find a GREAT dealer to buy and get service from who has half of a brain to help you down the road with whatever problems that present themselves.coobie

I am actually 6ft- 5 inches. Maybe when he gets it to his farm I will check it out a little farther. That is if I can get him out of the cab long enough. Something tells me he is going to be sleeping in it for a few nights. I did like what I saw as to how the DK55 was put together.
