Awesome job, I've been following this since the beginning, and even saved all the photos to a folder on my hard drive. Well my hard drive got to making a knocking noise about two weeks ago and died, taking the pics with it. Back up running now and sure hope we don't lose this thread, it's been fascinating. Incredible Von! Interesting proportions, to say the least. Can't wait to see the finished product. Is that the normal chassis for a crew cab? Not sure I've ever seen one. Did you get the clutch fixed? Very impressive work!

They made the crewcabs on both the long and short wheel base trucks. Most of the short (406's) were used as airplane tugs. But as a fun truck the crewcab allows room for 5 adults. There is going to be a short bed in the back. (4'x6') Just big enough to hold the spare, a crane (to pick up the spare!) and hold the beer cooler and camping gear. Or a few deer come hunting season! I am just about done putting the tranny back in after fixing the clutch. I screwed up when I put it in the first time! I guess it must have been done late at night! Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

Well, I'm almost done!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Its been just over a year and it now moves under its own power!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif And boy does it have power!!!!!!..... Its like driving a tank, not much shows it down. Just have to build the bed and put some tail lights and it will be ready for the road, and trails!!!
