Looking for some advice. Ive been looking at getting a pto pump kit for my bh9000 instead of running it off the power beyond. I want to be able to run the tractor at lower rpm's when digging. I guy down the road has a pump kit he says is off a BH9000. The pump on it is an eaton 25505. I called woods and the guy there said it prob wasnt their pump kit b/c he was showing a cross brand pump as being used. So I looked at the specs of the eaton pump and I cant figure out what I am missing. The charts only go down to 750 rpm and if you extrapolate down, the flow is so low that I cant imagine it being used on a 9 foot hoe - about 4 GPM. Am I missing something? here is the link to the pump:
Eaton - Series L2, Model 25505, Hydraulic Gear Pump, 2.61 Cu. In
I felt like I almost got in a shouting match with the guy talking about it. Im just trying to determine if this pump kit will meet my needs. He says that a real big pump and why would anyone buy it if it was only 4 GPM and that woods definitely made the kit despite what the tech guy said, etc.. So Could someone check me if I am reading the pump specs right? Also it says "minimum rpm at rated pressure 750". What will happen If I run her down to 540 or below? Why do you think they would use a pump with a 2500 rated rpm? My tractor is 10 GPM and thats a good speed for the backhoe but if i could cut the engine rpms in half, that would be great so I guess I would be looking for a 20 GPM at 540 correct? Thanks.
