Ok Ted, I want to know how the last supper is Fibonacci. ( I may be wrong here but is fun no matter what)

well the sun flower and the pine cone both follow the Fibonacci sequence.

higgy, you've got the keyword (Fibonacci). How do those numbers relate to the sunflower and pine cone? and all the other things?

Higgy, the Fibonacci numbers relate to the shape (proportion) of the frame around the famous painting of the Last Supper. That's a clue.

Most cones, flowers that bear seeds and pineapples all follow the sequence. If you look at the pattern, specifically the arcs made by the rows of seeds or scales you will find that the curvature of the arc is described by the sequence. It is very interesting that this pattern shows up all over the natural world in grown patterns. I have more on this that I would be happy to get for you if you would like. That would also describe the growth of the snail shell, the wholes of the chambers.

When deciding whether to add another layer of shingles to a roof, or go ahead and tear it all off down to the decking, stop and think. How much weight are you dealing with here?

Can be up to 70,000 to 80,000.

I tackled projects like that 15-20 yrs. ago by hand, but wouldn't do it today.

Around here, that is decided for you Can only have two layers of shingles per code. If you have to reroof after that, it all has to come off...(At least on a residence or other structure). Gotta have a permit for a reroof too...

Yep, but a buddy of mine recently stopped by a pipe supplier to get me a quote on some 12" pipe. Said the guy behind the counter, "Why doesn't he use two six inchers instead? It would be much cheaper."
