I'm trying to do the opposite move my seatback for leg room .I'd like my home to sit a little bit away.i can counter weight with suitcase weights up front.
I bet subframe is different from cab models to non cab.dont have a cab and mine was designed to turn tractor seat.i hated that and added the Johnny seat and straight levers.now I want a bit more leg room .I'll figu

I'm sure you could add the cab extension plates, but does your subframe already have the holes for mounting the extension plates, or would you have to drill the backhoe subframe?

Escavader,
The extensions are just a go between. They bolt on the backhoe with 5 bolts and then it looks like the original backhoe hookup if that makes sense ? I can take pictures if you want.

Escavader,
Here is a picture of the backhoe where the extension bolts on, there are 5 bolts on each side. You can only see three in this picture but there are 5.

Thanks for the info.my hoe is at another location until the snow goes.i remembered that when I went out to the garage to look at it when I saw these pics lol.
I hope my 77 is the same.my subframe that's on the tractor isn't adjustable, not without major surgery on it.

UPDATE...

Well, after 4 years running without the backhoe frame extensions, I decided it was time to add them back in. The cramped platform and tiny seat just became too uncomfortable for me to deal with as I get older. The ONLY benefit to moving the backhoe closer to the cab was the better balance while doing extensive loader work. However, I now live on a much more level property, so the lighter front end will be less of an issue, although I think I will try to add a bit more weight up front to deal with that. Yeah, the backhoe hangs way off the back, but the operator comfort is far better with this setup. And with the NEW (finally) hydraulic thumb conversion, I'll be spending even more time in the backhoe seat.
