the takagi tk2 runs around 1100$ plus install. depending what kind of vent you have,most need a power vent, is gas close,elect, ect,ect,

Since my pool house is new construction, and completely sealed, the available Takagi units at my supply house would not work as they used the available air in the house for combustion. The Rinnai units had a single pipe that was double lined. One brought in fresh air for combustion, and the inner portion of it was for exhaust. My furnace is similar, but it has two separate pipes. I've read that the Takagi units now have such a setup available in the size that would replace a 40 gal water heater. Maybe prices have gone up quite a bit, but I paid somewhere around $850 for the Rinnai unit.
