Used 2003 BX22 value

I am looking at a 2003 BX22 TLB with 297 hours on it in good condition kept indoors by a homeowner. He wants $13995. I told him that was high given the cost of new & zero financing & he agreed but I didn't make an offer. I am thinking this is worth 11-12k? Am I being too stingy?

I think a $4,000 discount from new is fair. What does a new BX 24 cost? I know if I were considering that purchase, I woul not pay more than 75-80% of the new price, for the reasons that you mentioned.

That depends A LOT in what part of the country you're located. In this neck of the woods they were closer to $17k when I was pricing them a few months ago.

Well, for what it's worth, I bought a used (2006?) BX 23 last year with 125 hours for 13K, in ecellent condition. Still had half the warranty left on when I bought it too...

with new 25 here you can find 24's from 14 to 15..even in local northeast. 17k is on the high side

well, even carver has the old 24 at a normal price of 14,999....Not to hard to find

He's pretty close to what I paid for my BX23.
$I4200 without the mower .

What a difference a few months make.

In May when I was pricing tractors, the local dealer quoted me ~ $16,500.

It was 14200 no mower or 15500 with mower .
I took it with the mower.

Everone else was wanting 15900 to 17500 with the mower at the time.
This included several dealers in Oh several dealers in PA
several dealers in KY.and several dealers in W.Va.

Made a deal at $12500 delivered. Machine is in brand new condition with all maintenance records. 297 hours. FEL & backhoe. No mower. Always kept indoors.

SHould I just get the original paperwork & clearance letter from Kubota showing it's paid off?

I think there are very few places that will sell a BX 24 for $14,000. Best I could find was $14,400 when they had factory to dealer incentive of $600. I dont think they have this incentive any more since the new models are about $1500 more causing an automatic discount by comparison.

He completed all of his projects & wife said get rid of it. He was just moving snow with it the last year.

Really, the thing looks like new! Guy was very meticulous about his stuff.

True but they are out there. I bought a 24 over 1 year ago for <15K. My point is that a used model has to be a huge % off a retail since retail with 0% etc it is not worth it used.
