I'm looking at a 2002 BX22 with a factory loader, backhoe, and 60" MMM. 521 hours and it just had the 500 hour service. Asking price is $13,200. I'm in no hurry...my bigger concern is getting a good deal. Is this a good price? If not, what would be? Thanks, Richard

Too much in my opinion. I purchased a new BX25 with a 54" deck for around 4K more with a warranty and 0 hours. If it is in pristine shape I would think more around 10k give or take for the BX22 being that it is 8 years old. They do hold their value but it comes down to what your finances are.

Thats the problem with buying used tractors, they don't depreciate much. I would have bought a used one but the prices I witnessed both new and used made much more sense to buy new with 0 percent financing.

Lets say you need finance the whole thing-the $13,000 used tractor would probably get you 6% financing for 60 months-thats $4,000 in interest making the total $18,000-no warranty and condition is unknown for that many hours-you will have to make repairs. Last month I could have bought a new BX25 for $18,000 financed at 0% for 6o months not including insurance. I beleive there is a two year warranty as well plus that new tractor smell :)

Like the others said. Its high and with the deals being offered by Kubota credit its almost a no brainer. 8,000-10,000 would be a fair deal in my opinion

Many people forget to factor in the cost of money when making a purchasing decision. I looked at used tractors before I ordered new, after factoring in the cost of money I was just a little behind the cost of a used tractor but, I got a full warranty with the new tractor and that is also worth something.

You should be able to pick up a new BX25 with 60" deck for well under 17K plus taxes if your area dealers are willing to deal.
