used highway guard rails?

Ditto on Government Surplus Auctions - GovDeals.com, I always use "search by location" when I first go to the site and just look to see what's coming up in a 200 mile search. I have seen them many times pretty close to us, seems like Missouri (MODOT) and the SEMO county road depts will list them fairly regularly. I helped a coworker buy some off the site several years ago for the same thing you are wanting them for. I have rarely seen that much come up on one auction though. Usually if they have that many feet they are split into several lots so you better be bidding to win.

It looks like this guy is putting ads on CL across TX. http://wichitafalls.craigslist.org/grd/2817588986.html might give him a call and see what he's selling it for.

Call your nearest TXDOT office and ask who has the contract to remove/replace guardrail in your area. I'm not sure where Portland is, but here in Taylor County the guy sells it for $2.25/foot. I'm rebuilding our pens, too, so I plan to buy some soon. I've talked to him, but I haven't seen it yet. Let me know if you want his contact info.

I am in Corpus, property is just south Of San Antonio so Austin area would not be too far to travel to pickup.please send the info if you dont mind.
I will be checking corpus too and see what I can find out. Thanks for posting that info about TXDOT

Sorry CaseGuy, but I'm near Abilene (Taylor County) not Austin. You're looking at a 7 hour drive each way, which is too far in my book. I'm sure you can find some down there, but I'll email you his phone # anyway. Good luck!
