Hi all,
A "3" Kubota family on a 100 acre farm...a 2012 M7040 for the big stuff, a 2012 BX2360 for mowing on slopes and a 1992 G1800 (2WD) for flat mowing.
The G1800 completely lost all hydraulics while mowing this weekend...no drive, no lift on the deck, nothing...but plenty of Super UDT2. Best case, a hydraulic pump. Worst case, the HST is shot (which totals the mower). I am expecting the latter even though the unit has less than 1,000 hours (but is 25 years old).
While it sits at a local Kubota dealer waiting for its diagnosis, I have been eyeballing new/used replacement options. I really only need a mower as I can use implements on the other tractors. But, I want (and need) a 4WD as it is really hilly around here and prefer the 54" deck that I had with the G1800.
I have found:
MSRP on a new GR2120 is $9,388. Assuming I can get 15% off from a dealer(cost is 20% off), that is $7,980.
Thoughts?
