That's nearly free! Averaging 10 mpg, that's 17 gallons of fuel (nearly fifty bucks in my area), plus four hours total time for the driver, add the cost of insurance and perhaps even a truck payment, and I see no profit in that rate.
The profit came from selling me the tractor, the new snow plow and the hydraulic hoses to operate it. I have heard that if you can find a truck hauling something your way, with enough space for your load (i.e., tractor) then a deal can often be had. Sounds tricky, but maybe there are folks coordinating this sort of thing... should be, in any event!
Ah! Now I see Bentru's post (should read thru all posts before replying!), and it makes more sense. Good luck. Problem might be, I would want to inspect anything like a tractor before buying used. So, you are going to be there, anyway.
