In 15 years or so, I won't be around to see it, but all the new sub-100hp tractors will be electric, and they will be relatively cheap compared to what we pay for new diesels now.
On cars, the original complicated and fuel mileage robbing stuff from the early anti-pollution stuff is long gone now, and in a few more years, say 20 or so, everything will be EVs anyway.
Like it or not, there are a lot of small tractors out there. I see them almost every time I go anywhere. The one dealer lot that had a ton of tractors this spring among the ones in the area that I visited was the MF dealer, who had a very full lot. That lot is almost empty now. The other ones have pretty much been almost empty right through.
In a world, of soon to be 8 Billion people and still growing, The internal combustion engine, along with all that fancy pollution stuff is already obsolete, and with good reason.
