OK, so the way this thread is going the next question is...
Has anybody used the 5 gallon plastic bucket while inside the fel bucket? That sounds interesting...
Personally, I would never use a 5 gallon bucket as a step stool...I'm too uncoordinated. I have a 2 step stool for that stuff.

Unfortunately, I have physically seen, at least one person standing on a step stool, in a loader bucket.

i have also seen a ladder on a pallet, that was on a forklift.

The ladder one didn't scare me as much as seeing the stool inthe laoder bucket..darwinism and gamblers at work I guess...

With no bucket truck or climbing hooks, I guess you have to improvise.

A lot of pictures like this get criticized without the critics knowing the whole story. I've heard this was a bystander rescue of an electrocution victim. If so, it's good to know someone had both the ingenuity & fortitude to get the job done. MikeD74T

Lifting people in tractor buckets is foolish. When a person falls they are moving very fast. Yes, I know this from personal experience  (I was swept off a ladder, NOT in a bucket). Greg

I have stood in a fully raised bucket,on a JD 5205 with a "chain saw on a stick" and cleared branches. I have climbed a 3 section ladder that was chained straight upright to a forklift to change 8' lightbulbs 30' up. I have pulled a dead man out of a tree ,that he cut down onto himself, 40' up into a firetruck bucket. I have climbed a radio tower then jumped 4 ' to the 2nd story roof of a sawmill, with a firehose(empty) in my hand. I will climb just about anything no worries, but I dont care much for going under ground.

Using a milk crate to stand on... Theres more reasons why they have that theft warning.
I stood on one, and both feet broke through. causing the plastic to make , like a one way trap. If I tried to pull my legs out it would dig into the skin:eek:
Had to crawl to get the saw zall and cut my way out.
I laugh at it now...:)

Thought I would add to this post... I am guilty. I use my FEL for a work platform sometimes. The reason, is that in some instances, it is much more practical, and safer than a ladder. I have found that its real handy to install a tree stand with. But like anything, you have to be careful.
