Does anyone have experience using a forage wagon to store and unload firewood. I have an old wagon that I would like to modify for this use.

I will take off the beaters near the front of the wagon but am looking for ideas on how to control how much wood is fed onto the front chain bed to prevent damage due too overloading.

I would like to be able to unload the wood via the Pto drive.

Any other considerations i should take?

We used and old manure spreader with beaters removed. This worked great since we where just dumping it onto an elevator for stacking.

Not sure how you control the feed rate on a front unloading forage box to prevent jamming etc.
