Tractor
Kubota Bx24, 2007
Hi. I have a BX24, just done 100hours since november-07. A friend called me and asked me to help him with the hay. Heエs runnig a small bale machinery which would fit my BX. So far no problem...I realised that I need adjust/fit some other hydralic valves where backhoe runs, that wouldnt be to big problem. But what I didnt like was the idea to use "normal" implements which uses standard hydralic oils, or at least they have some hydralic oil left inside the implement which my BX will get. Kubota is using fully syntetic hydro oil (SUDT) and normal farm implements are using standard hydro oil. How bad is it to mix these diffrent oils? Do I need to drain the implements Im loaning?
Thanks,
/Sam

Sam,
SUDT is not synthetic, it is a multi viscosity, UDT. It is just priced like a full synthetic. Lots of people have thought that is what the S stands for
A BX24 dose not have a large capacity hydro reservoir so contamination is easier than with a larger tractor
I am curious, what kind of bailer is small enough to operate on a BX? KennyV

That baler is going to shake that BX all over the place! After watching a friend using a squalre baler on behind his L5030...I wont even hook it up to my B3030....not enough MA$$ to offset the shaking

Hi guys!
Its a minibale machine, the bales are made for horse people when they are on competitions, then they can carry a few bales with them in their trailers. But I havnt tryed yet...so you guys might be right;) Its late over here, I will post some pics tomorrow of the bale machine.
Thanks for your input!

Now, if someone would adapt all the implements that go on a BCS two wheeled tractor for use on the BX series we would have some useable stuff! They have a baler.......... and I'll bet even I could lift the bales. :)

Sounds like you having same way of thinking:) You can carry these bales up...depends how much water there is in the grass. I cant find any pics on the bale machine:(

I know what size bales you are talking about, and that baler is too big to run on a BX for sure! Careful with wet bales too. They will really heat up when piled, and can burn a barn down very quickly!

Hi Just found a pics from the small bale machine, it needs 11-15 hp 80cm wide. The bales have a diameter at 57cm and lenght 63cm
I think its made in Italy.
