Using the BX23 to bring in the spring rock harvest

As soon as the ground thawed I started digging with the BX23 to get a foundation hole dug for my new garage. It has been raining every weekend which has slowed down progress quite a bit but at least the rock harvest has been good. Attached is pic showing a big one that appeared to be grown to fit just right in the BX's FEL bucket...

Another shot closer up - this one just fit in the bucket. And I could only lift the bucket a couple of inches off the ground so I had to pretty much drag the rock out of the dig hole.

Nice crop o' rocks! Looks like your project is coming along well too! Be aware of "new growth" after your harvest ... while backfilling all the holes from my harvest, there were another dozen new sprouts that had to be tended to this weekend /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I see your rocks grow just as big as mine here in Ga

Got me some rock gardens all over the humble abode. Most all of the above ground crop has been harvested and used as a fence row back in the back. It's not to pretty but those rocks seem very happy there. No doubt that when I have to do a little digging I'll find the next rows for that, ahem, fence /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
