Using third function valve for rear hydraulic top link?

I would like to use my third function valve for a hydraulic top link I searched but did not find an answer, did see lots of threads using rear remotes with hoses to the front so I am assuming that the reverse should work. Tractor is a Kubota B2650 with a Kubota third function kit not a diverter kit, currently used for a grapple. It seems like it should be as easy as running two hoses from the valve to the rear of the tractor. Might need a restrictor to slow the link down but that is not a problem. Tell me what I am missing

Not a thing,you are 100% correct.I did the exact thing last spring to run a grain drill,worked perfect.Carefully measure your hoses and add three feet or so for the turn.

There is no good reason that you can't or should not do that. I recommend to use air hose to determine the routing path and lengths of hoses needed.

Be sure to note that the tractor end of the top link needs to be narrower than the std 1 3/4" wide cat 1 ball swivel. 1 9/16" If I remember correctly. Oh, and an .030 restrictor should work well for your application.

I’d hate to use the electric over hydraulic third function valve to “feather” a top link. Mechanically it works but don’t expect the fine movements if you have an electric third function valve.

While a manual valve is better for adjustments, the restrictors will make adjusting not as difficult or as fast.

Sounds like I need some restrictors for my grapple and snow blade angle! Those move quickly while my TnT with simple levers is easy to feather- as fast or slow as needed.

I did this same thing on a kubota I had for many years, but I had a tee on the valve for each port and ran a set up the loader and a set of hoses to the rear. I could only have 1 set of hoses hooked up either on the loader or the rear implements.
