I don't believe that system will work with the air/liquid valve stems usually used on tractors;
Air Liquid Valves Archives - BlackJack Tire Supplies, Inc.
Most tractor rims for R-1 tires have a 0.625 inch rim hole (5/8")

I don't recall if the original poster said what size the rim hole was.

You're right I didn't, because I had no idea at the time. The Update: The valve has been replaced at a tire shop. I took the tire to them, $15 for the metal bolt in stem and to "air it up".

I壇 recommend just getting the bottle jack. Even if you manage to get the wheel off getting it back on without precise height adjustment is pretty much impossible.

This was a very useful post, I had not factored in the grief of putting the tire back on in less than ideal conditions. It's done now, took the tire to the shop and $15 later, was on my way.

I will use the loader to raise the front end enough to put a jack under the side to be off the ground. If I lift the rear with the backhoe I will raise it then run a chain between each jack so they cannot spread apart if pressure is lost.
