For those who would like some backup lights on your 2210, but don't want them to turn on w/ the light switch consider using the turning light switch.

I hooked up two halogen backup lights, one on each side of the ROPS. Ran two wires under the chassis to the dash. If you hook one wire to each side of the turning light switch you have a quick and easy left/right backup light (power is already supplied).

I got a little fancier; I used a 12v relay- so that in one position one light comes on, in the other position I get both lights on. One is a flood (for 3-point hitch work), the other a spot (for long range view).

Good idea. I don't think I will ever need to use turn signals.
I am sure that Deere will warn you not to drill any holes in the ROPS. Did you use clamps? I was thinking of using this big mag mount light.

The lights I used are 2.5"x3.5" tractor backup lights from Fleet Farm (Farm and Fleet in some parts of the country). They were reasonably cheap.

I used the existing bolts from the turning lights to hold the L-bracket for the new lights. They sit at the same height as the turning lights on the inside of the ROPS. Because the original lights are made of plastic, the bolts could not torque down tight enough to keep the new lights from spinning downward from vibration. So I did screw a small self-tapping (3/32") screw into the bracket to keep them from spinning downward.

I get ground from the existing turning lights and only run the 12v down the ROPS.

I'll get a picture posted later this evening (after taxes!).
