I had a similar experience The order was supposed to come Saturday, but Apparently it came Saturday afternoon to the PO. Well I waited all day sunday, (at home, lights on etc) Nothing. NOT even a note. but bingo. 5 pm Notification it was not able to deliver as no one home. (AND NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED) So from here it goes to my local PO. On Monday I called one of the other Post Offices that dispatches the Sunday delivery and they confirmed it was at my local PO. I when to the local and while in line I said the driver said I wasnt home at 5 pm. Which I was, but the next person in line said he too had a text that the driver was at his house at 5 Pm. HMM one driver for the route, rural. They said the package had been sent to another PO 5 miles away for Monday delivery. I called the Post Master of the sunday delivery and told him about it He said they couldnt deliver ,I told him arent they supposed to leave a green card??? He said yes. I replied that I had been home all day, and there was no green card, and nothing on my camera and that another patron had said he had the same notification. He explained that the driver didnt know the roads . blah blah. I replied and I do feel this way .DONT LIE> I would rather have then say sorry we tried but couldnt do it. So the saturday delivery was made on tuesday evening.LOL I wish companys would want the feedback about this and offer to NOT use the PO. I have to say. Fed Ex and the UPS have been outstanding...One thing to note: FedEx Express and FedEx Ground are two different entities. FedEx Express handles the 1-2-3 day air deliveries using actual FedEx employees. FedEx Ground (and Home Delivery) are contractors the purchase their routes. They are not Fedex employees, but work for "Joe's delivery service" under contract to Fedex.
Just last week I had a package "on the truck for delivery" on Sunday - no show. Monday "on the truck for delivery" - no show. Tuesday "on the truck for delivery" - no show AND the Driver LIED and said "no one available or business closed". Security cameras say the truck never came down the road.
