Yep, thats exactly the hook up I had, I just slipped the little roller pump over the PTO shaft, connected the chain and killed a boat load of mosquitos. This sprayer rocks, I swapped out the pressure gauge that came with it with an oil filled one, the one that came with it didnt work and looked a bit cheesy, other than that I love this sprayer. has anyone heard of a solution thats made just for washing out the spray tanks so you can go from herbicide to bug killer without killing the landscape. Also, Is that a filter thats under the tank?

TSC sells several different brands of chemicals that will work.

Yes that is probably a filter on the bottom of the tank, if not you should install one on the suction side of the pump. You can also install small filters, with or without 5 PSI check valves, in the nozzle bodies on the boom. These will filter out very small particles of trash that get past the suction filter and the check vavles will help to keep the nozzles from dripping when the boom control is turned off. I personally don't use then( check valves) as they seem to vary the output volume of the nozzles. Your nozzle output should be no greater than 10% from nozzle to nozzle. There a number of commercial tank cleaners available, but I just use foamy household ammonia, about 2 quarts to each 50 gallons of tank capacity.

Thanks, The guy that sold me the sprayer said also that ammonia worked well. I guess it will not harm any of the internal workings of the sprayer. I hear alot of folks use the ammonia solution, I guess it cant hurt to give it a try. Is there any kind of lubricant I should run thru the sprayer from time to time?

I would put quick connectors ,like in the previous posts, on the pump and flush it well with water after use and then fill the pump with something like a water & antifreeze mixture or light oil and cap the ports off.
