As I had mentioned in one of my earlier posts, the tractor was plumbed so that the power beyond from the FEL would go to the backhoe OR to the 3pt but not both.
Picture 1: I have duplicated that feature in the new installation by using a selector valve. The power beyond from the new control valve feeds the selector which in turn has outputs that go to the hydraulic manifold up front to power the 3pt, or to a quick disconnect that the backhoe will hook to.
Picture 2: For the tank return I tapped into the return line that the backhoe uses.
Friday was a long day of making up all of the hoses and routing them. I had everything done except that the FEL power beyond line that I was going to hook to had a different fitting than I expected. This morning I went to a local shop and picked up the required fitting (at 10x the price of DHH
).
Picture 3: Anyways, got everything hooked up and gave everything a final inspection before starting the tractor. Good thing ... realized I switched the input and power beyond lines somewhere along the way.
Picture 4: Got everything back to where it was supposed to be and also installed protective sleeves over all the hoses.
So far everything seems to be working okay. Didn't find any leaks (took proper precautions while checking). Now I'm just waiting for my top link and side link to arrive.
This has been a fun project that I would have had a harder time doing without all the information that is available on this forum. Thanks everyone!
