Idle, entitled hands will more than likely become addicted to doing something REALLY stupid and life threatening .. It's the society we now live in..

The only hope is for a large meteor so we can start from scratch.. About 20 years from now things should be a complete disaster, AND that will put me in my 70's so anytime about then would be good..

There are plenty of good ones mixed in. I think we will be OK. We have some super awesome young adults in our family, but they don't make national news.

True story: We used to attempt to "worm" our goat herd with twist tobacco. Goats love the taste of tobacco and eat it readily. AND it is an effective wormer. Tobacco is poison of course and it kills the worms. However it makes the host goat very ill after they eat the twist of tobacco. They heave and puke and from the looks of them, they feel pretty awful. Worming with tobacco on our herd at least only worked one time. Not a single one of them would ever touch tobacco again after they recovered.

I tried cherry skoal when I was 16 or 17. 18 yo buddy got it for me. I got a big ole wad of it and was spitting in a mello yello bottle. I was cool.

Then I turned green . Didnt puke, but I felt absolutely awful for 2 or 3 hours.

If you think about it, a goat weighs about the same as a human or even less. Now think about eating a nice big ole twist of Beechnut. Think about how sick you would be..

I believe that's normal. This generation doesn't do things the way we do, but that doesn't make them wrong. I know that in the past 40 years we've done a pretty good job of mucking things up yet still seemed to survive.

We have many Mennonites around here too. I deliver parts to some. Yes, the have the horse and buggy, but many of them are much more modernized these days. Many are putting up huge chicken barns with ultra modern electronics. Less and less and less seem to be old school these days.
As for rude, the ones I know seem very nice. Haven't seen any vaping yet.

I had heard a discussion a while back on the radio about the vaping trend possibly moving in that direction.
