Vaping, wow!

Tats, piercing & vaping. I've got a few Harley tats - I ran a Hawthorn spike into my hand yesterday - I still have no urge for vaping. A double shot of JD over chipped ice sure eased the pain from the Hawthorn spike though. I gave up smoking in '66. The price of a pack went up to 55 cents in the vending machines.

Don't you just hate a hawthorn spike . . . in '66 I was in the service, I think they were 9 cents a pack on base and free in the rats.

In reality, a LOT of the vaping you see in public is actually mj oil....it just has no lingering aroma like reefer does...With an e-pen people can get high anywhere vaping is allowed without anyone knowing what's going on...this is true even in states where rec use is still illegal...e-pen ( vaping) applications is often a preferred method for medical mj applications...the cartridges are readily available in the street mj markets...

Something that is not being reported much is the bootleg cartridges from china that is causing deaths...

Laced with fentanyl. It is a very potent controlled substance (opioid) most dont understand just how potent it is and it kills them. The Chinese drug dealers are just about as bad as South America now, but China is doing nothing to curtail the export to the US. This is another reason Trump is putting the screws to them.

I had an uncle in Tn, smoked his whole life and was an alcoholic. Got on disability around 40 years old, and stomach cancer at 50. He cost the great state of Tn close to a million bucks by the time he died around 55. He wasn't worth a crap his entire life. Why pay for these people at all?

Vaping, smoking, consuming alcohol are all legal and are considered "condoned behavior" by society; is it stupid?Yes. And my horror equals yours when I realize my tax dollars have to pay for these idiots when their selfish behavior goes south via medical treatment. I can't turn the TV on without seeing a commercial for COPD treatment and carry around oxygen. Society as a whole should not be responsible for the lifestyle choices of an individual.

I am trying really hard not to turn in to a cranky old ba$tard as I get older and the world gets crazier around me.

BUT, the one thing that really gets me going is driving past our local public hospital and seeing the group of patients sitting in the smoking area. In their pyjamas, in wheelchairs, with their gas bottles and stands, all puffing away.

If I was their doctor, I would not let the morons back inside. "Go ahead, keep sucking in the poison if you want to, but don't expect me to keep trying to make you better".

You have the right to smoke if you want, you therefore also accept that you have the right to die quicker. So why should hospitals have to try and keep you alive? Your choice.

And don't get me started on the fact that with our pretty good medical system here in Australia, my tax dollars are paying for their treatment.

We have an electrical substation next to a hospital in the downtown area. No smoking on hospital property. Every time we stop there, they all have to move out from in front of the gate. It's the closest place they can be off property to smoke. They look beyond miserable around January/February.

I think the vaping with marijuana oils, or the compound THC in it, will slowly come to an end. 6 people have died from it in the past few months. Others are getting very sick. The compound sticks to the lungs and prevents normal breathing.

it is also the amount they vap, I'm thankful they treat it like smoking now and send them outside.
