Joe,

Could I trouble you for some pictures, before you put the head back on? I would like them in as high resolution as you can, such that I could adjust as needed. These would then be put on my website: www.johnstractor.com, for other Jinma owners to view.

I would like the following if possible:

- A picture or two, looking down into the cylinders, showing tops of pistons and sleaves

- A picture of the combustion chamber side of the head, showing the valves and injector tip, a close-up of one and another showing all 3 would be great

- A picture looking into the exhaust ports of the head

- A picture looking into the intake ports of the head

This site will not let high resolution photos to be uploaded. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Please send to "JinmaTractor@prodigy.net". If you don't have a digital camera, would like to get standard film, which I can scan. Please email, and would send you a postal address. Thanks.

I would make sure that you are getting good lubrication to the valves. I am not familiar with your particular engine, but I suspect that the valves are starving for oil. I recommend that you check the oiling after you get it together. There should be a splash that covers the valves and springs. I wonder if there is a spun cam bearing or restricted port. Best of luck with the fix!

The lubrication for the rocker shaft and valve traine enters the front rocker arm post and goes into the rocker arm shaft through a small metering screw. you may want to check and make sure that screw is not broken off blocking the hole. On the engine we just repaired that had this condition, no valves were sticking, but the rocker arms wore clear through thier bushings that ride on the shaft.

I will get those picture in a couple of days when the head returns. I have checked the restrictor screw every thing is fine there. Like I said I had it running with valve cover off and watched it oil. I had changed the oil 4 times in the 200 hours it has run but always used 15w40, I should have drop it down in the winter but didnt. Someone recomended rotella oil, never the less this should not happen. Thanks so much for the help and support, maybe one day I can add my 2 cents for someone.
