Pretty much since forever, I've always done my own oil changes in vehicles; except of coarse work vehicles. Wife got a 2019 Charger RT a while back, and it won't go on ramps, and Way to low to crawl under, so I've had my son run it up to the non-chain tire/lube place I take work car. It's always been expensive (IMO) at $120; but ok. Today, wife is Way over, no time to run it to the other place, 45 min away; so I steal it at lunch and run it to one of those, 5 minute, stay in your car, chain places. Da'Yum, $174, for basic synthetic, basic filter, and a $35 cabin air filter. Is it just me, or is that ridiculous. The $120 place; they atleast vacuum the car, and leave you a mint with a Bible verse on it; and I'm up there every 7500 miles with the work car. They are a but out od the way, and not that fast, but.....

I take mine to the Cadillac dealer. Their website has service coupon specials. They also detail it inside and out. Very comfy customer lounge with free drinks and snacks.

Convince your wife to buy and EV and you won't have to worry about oil changes. :D

It takes longer to drive in, wait around for the oil change and drive back than it does for me to jack up the car, change the oil and rotate the tires myself. That's more important to me than the cost, though that's a factor too. I'd probably balk at $120 and certainly at $160. Ensuring that it's done right is also a plus. Long ago someone in my family got their car's oil changed at a Jiffy Lube and they left the gasket on the engine. The engine was trashed and JL denied responsibilty.

I've done nearly all of the oil changes in my vehicles for 40-something years. Only a couple times have I had a shop do it when it was in for something else that I didn't want to do and it was time to change the oil. My wife took her last car into a shop for service but I'm going to service the used car she just bought. It's less effort for me to do it than to remind her enough times to get her to actually take it in.

I've always done my own and will until I can't crawl under my vehicle. For my Ram it costs me CAN$12 for the Wix filter and approximately CAN$40 (usually less) for the 6L± of Kirkland oil. The cabin filter was I think CAN$15 the air filer CAN$ 25 While I'm under there I also have a gander around to see if there's anything out of place. I also change my summer and winter tires myself (mounted on wheels).
The day I'm forced to pay $120 for an oil change done by a person rushing thru that doesn't give a rats backside nor probably know which end the engine is in, is the day I'll walk.

I really was expecting the 5 minute place to be in the neighborhood of $60-75; and figured I'd pay the $20 to not dick with the double Jack's and all that. I'm probably around $30 for oil, and $12 for a Wix. I'm willing to pay $20 to avoid the jacks; but not $90-120 extra

Put some 2x6 in front of your ramps so you can use them,
That's what I did so I could get the daughters van up on the ramps without hooking the spoiler. They work great for my Ram too, put it in 4WD low and it idles right up. No worries about goosing it up and off the end. Done that more than once on a couple of vehicles LOL.
I measured the wheel spread on my truck and stuck a few pieces of tape on the garage floor at that measurement that I place the ramps on. That way, when I can see the left wheel on the center of the ramp I know I'm centered on the pair.

My local Ford dealer does my F150 w/ tire rotate, inspections, etc. for $95 using 9qts of synth blend. They don't vacuum though..
