Not sure what you are refering to when you say 'vents'. Are you refering to the 'valves' in the head because you are grinding the valves or the valve clearance/gap?

Not off hand and there maybe someone on the forum that has that answer more readily than I.
Just to be clear, are you grinding the valves and you want the distance between the head surface and valve face?

It looks like you are within range. I added an attachment showing the valve setup and specifications, but not sure you can read. View attachment 370755
The clearance valve to head: 0.070 to 0.140"/1.78 to 3.56 mm
Valve to rocker clearance: 0.010"/0.254 mm both intake and exhaust.

First off, I neglected to welcome you to TBN.
I was not paying attention to the fact that it is a 4 cylinder diesel. It should be a Standard diesel and I can get the information for you in a day or 2.

I have looked for something other than the pictures I have provided, but do not have anything. The information I provided is for the MF35 which is the FE35. Both utilized the Standard Diesel 23C.
