vermeer 206 stump grinder

Good pics! From what I remember, dirt is NOT your friend and will dull the teeth in short order. I suggest cutting close to grade and then doing some hand work, (digging) to keep the grass/dirt small or large stones from dulling the expensive to maintain teeth. Use a broom, air compressor, or back-pack blower to try to clear wood chips, and expose & clear away hidden dirt between stalks of multipart stumps, etc.
That is one kick-&%$ machine! Way to go....

thanks for the tips. I have my stihl blower to keep the stump free of chips and I spent a lot of time clearing the rocks from around the stump to keep the teeth clear of anything but wood. more work today but should be able to finish the job and move onto some of the smaller/easier stumps that have been nagging me..
