I am not sure what the equivilant would be out here though.

I'm about 2 hours east of Ultrarunner in the Ca foothills, on the way to Lake Tahoe. I have never heard of a "selectman" or many of the Eastern US local government types, here on the west coast.

in these parts after they failed to act I would be at the selectmans office. At least in a smal town we still have control of the town employees performance. The process has been proven here over the last couple of years,

Check with a couple of local ready mix companies might could even leave a flyer hanging on their bulletin board. Most contractors know or know of each other and they like to go in and B'S with the guys in the office

Nice view! The Bay too.
TBN got you to update your camera skills. Now put wheels on the Cheby, dump the trailer load in front of the local Po Po station, load up the D3, and call me when you're ready to deliver 'the package' to my door.:D

That would be a journey from Oakland to Vermont... one I would enjoy but not as much with a trailer in tow.

TBN is my prospective for the rest of the country... safe to say I'm the only homeowner tractor owner in these here parts.

The view of San Francisco and the Bay is spectacular at night... too bad the folks in San Francisco only have the East Bay to look at.

Still remember the day 17 years ago when the D3 arrived... someone actually called the police because there was a Bulldozer being offloaded... AND back then they came!!!

Guess it is part of parcel living in a big urban area with acreage...

As for the dump trailer I am astonished no one has messed with it... guess it looks too much like work and have 2 yards of gravel is another deterrent.

Doubt my 91 Silverado could pull a load like that up the very steep 9/10ths of a mile up the hill...

When my friend gets back from DC I will ask for him to try and see if his Officer friend can contact the registered owner if he can't give me the info... it has to belong to somebody...

Anyone remember when tools were a high theft item? Well not around here... it's high end electronics and jewelry topping the list and expensive sneakers...

if it's parked on a public street it is a road hazard.. what if a kisd was playing in front of it and walked out and a driver hit the kid because of not seeign the kid thru the obstruction?

If it's on the actual roadway/travel lane I would call your local public works/street and bridge/county engineering department. If it's in the travel lane it would be a crash hazard.

Welll... that's the "right" thing to do. If it sat more than two weeks I Might move it myself to just barely on my property and look into how to lean the trailer. Then how to legally take it. No way would I spend any amount of money hunting down the owner; and I don't think I would spend more than half an hour of my time trying.

Around the city of Baltimore, that trailer would have been sold to a scrap yard by now. Interestingly, a while ago I read that guys in the city were cutting down "live" aluminum light poles to sell as scrap. Wonder if they would sue the city when they got electrocuted. No, I don't live there. Far enough away, half a mile off the public road, where nobody ventures unless they have business. Sad that the trailer's owner can't be re-connected with his equipment, but as someone wrote, after insurance kicks in, it's garbage.

We have metal thieves and they don't care if it if private or public...

The round freeway overpass guardrails starting disappearing, they were replaced and gone again.

Now they use electrical conduit and the 4" diameter and so far no one has bothered.

Trailer was there on the way to work at 5:30 am this morning...
