FWJ: thanks for the info.

I'm confused. Is that hitch on the Ferguson disc I have supposed to mate with the 3pt adapter Hank shows or does it mate with the drawbar?

So far I haven't figured out how the hitch on the disc I have connects to that 3pt rig. I would prefer to pull it with the drawbar rather than the 3pt.

I believe there's still a prt or 2 missing. On your hitch, it appears there's a couple broken bolts in that square stock piece. I'm thinking there's something missing from that.

You need the "hitch assembly" which is shown in the pics I sent you. When connected properly, as you raise the control lever for the hydraulics, the disc will "straighten out the sections", so that you can turn around. After turning, you drop the control lever down, and it will go back to its pre-set angle.

Also, if you were starting to sink your tractor "in a wet spot", the shoe on this hitch would activate the disc, straightening the sections again, so you would not get stuck.

As you can see from the pics, there is a "drawbar" built into this hitch attachment (which you are missing).

It does work very well. Get someone to build you one. I will search for more info for you.

Thanks again. That's a real clever hitch arrangement. That gives me another cold weather project for my trusty Hobart stick welder. Yippee.

I really wouldn't go thru all that to get that disk to pull behind your tractor. Just get a good heavy "D" ring, and weld it to the existing "end". Pull a clevis thru the D ring and hook it to your drawbar (preferably a drawbar on the 3 pt. Dearborn made a disk with the 3 inch or so "hole" in the hitch for the clevis---That's what we had for the old 8N. Worked fine. BobG in VA

No pics yet. I'll clean up the disc first and then drag it around with the MF-135 and figure out how to get it to work right.

Thanks again. That pamphlet really spells out the hitch details. Now I see what's missing.

Do it right - build the proper attachment. It is a good, worth while project.
It will then work like Harry intended it to work!
I am still looking for any notes I may have made, as to dimensions, etc.

Merry X-mas to you and yours!

That disk in that shape, pulling it with a Ferguson tractor, I'd have to fabricate a hitch like in the brochure and keep it as original as possible, with the pictures, shouldn't be too hard to do. It would just be a shame to butcher it up.
