Hi everyone! i own a 155d and my regulater is only putting out 8 volts to the battery. I checked my altenator and it has about 24volts output .I had my regulator checked and was told that it was fried so the guy sold me a aftermarket one and it only allows 8 volts also.Any ideas??
Thanks NS

I would check and clean the alternator conections including the grounding to the frame and also the battery ground. If your 8 volt measurement was at the battery and all connections are good, your battery is dead.

That 8 volts has to be what is in the battery, not what is coming from the alternator/regulator. I don't think your system can charge a battery that has only 8 volts, so I would charge the battery and try it again after cleaning all connectors as mentioned before. If you don't have a charger, I would get one to keep the battery voltage up while troubleshooting, or you can ruin your alternator, which, so far, seems to be good.
