Vtek V2 Loader

   / Vtek V2 Loader #11
The Bulldog loader was made for LCI in Wills Point, Tx and they have gone under. Don't think those loaders or parts are available anymore. A gentleman on another forum was looking for a cylinder for his and I started researching and that is my conclusion. His cylinder end came loose some way and mush roomed the end. He has the same 285 loader I have. I have done extensive on line research trying to match these cylinders and not with much luck. I ended up calling VN Tractor in Dallas and talking with Rodney. He stated they had cylinders for their VN loaders (I think same as Vtek) He told me he would check sizes on their cylinders and get back. I emailed him a specs drawing on the cylinder but have pretty much determined he is not going to get back with me. I know all this don't help in the search for vtek specs but thought you might find it interesting.

Scotty,
Go to VN Tractors.
The vtec loader is made for the refurbs that VN Tractors sell.
If you ever need hydraulic parts got to Bailey Hydraulic....out of Tenn. You should be able to match up with there parts....I have done so on my V1 loader.
If you price from both VN Tractors and Bailey....VN will be more money and it will take for ever for them to even respond to your emails.

I have gone to VN tractors and have struck out twice now. they keep telling me they don't have any spec's - I just can't believe that. All they do is ask me what size tractor and they tell me that the V2 will fit.

I was hoping someone who ordered one to add to their tractor got some spec's or some info was included in one of their recons

scotty, I don't know it this helps but, I found lift specs for a vtek on a 1610 & it stated lift is 700 LBS

Scotty,

While I do not have any written specs on VTeK Loaders I have been selling tractors purchased from VN for quite some time now and have learned the general rule of thumb for capacities on VTeks is as follows: V1=750lb at the pivot pins, V2=900lbs, V3=1200lbs, and V4=1600lbs. Now having said this al I have to back these numbers up is real world use experience I have not placed wieghts in and confirmed these numbers I simple have used a ton of Vtek loaders and this seems to be pretty close. Also remember lift capacity also relies on the wieght of the tractor. Just because I loader can lift say 1200lbs does not mean the tractor it is on should be lifting that much wieght.

Everyone is correct on theses loaders being made in China, one thing interesting is that they are made from American steel. Any hydraulic company that sells seals should be able to match up the seals on these loader. Most likely you will have to take the seal to them though as they wont have a book with specs.

I do not believe LCI has completely gone out of business, but rather have focused more on selling parts than tractors now. All the VN tractors have Vtek Loaders and all LCI tractors have Bulldogs.

If anyone has any questions feel free to email me anytime. I will do my best to answer them or at least point you in the right direction of someone that can.

Cwright, thanks for your response. I recently tried calling LCI and the phone is no longer in serivice. I called a friend that sold their tractors and he stated they had gone out of business.

Thanks Cwright - Since you sell them -can you put some pressure on your sources to get some real statisics and documentation? I would love to know what the cylinder specs are and loader valves used. As you know there are a lot of these loaders out there and I am sure members would be very glad to have this type of info to help source parts in the future and to make decisions on buying a loader to be added to an existing tractor. Doing any internet searching on the VTEKS produces almost zero info. What I do find is many owners frustrated with no info and trying to source parts. I wish Hoye would look into these loaders as well -from a parts perspective. Mine seems to be stout with thick steel and quality welds and I believe when sold seperately its at an attractive price when compared to other domestic options. I am glad to hear its made with US steel. Mine is on a YM2020D and it lifts well although my curl strength is questionable. At some point I would like to better understand what the curl lift should be.

Also - is there anyway (easily) to convert the VTEKS loaders to quick release versions that are shipping now? Thanks Cwright for anything you can offer here!

Winston1,

Good to know, I had not tried to order anything from LCI since way earlier in the year. Its for the best because they had really given grey market tractors a bad name.

Scotty, I am no expert on hydraulics like quite a few guys on here are but what has been said to me so far on my loader questions has helped me understand my situations.

There is one thing that seems to be constant- I believe an actual pressure test and cylinder and rod diameter will be necessary in order for anyone to give actual lift specs but I may be waaay off?

Scotty,

I will speak with Rodney @VN and see what they can do. Not sure who you spoke with when you dropped by but Tiffany runs the place, maybe she can get with her brother in Vietnam and get more info. It can sometimes be a difficult task to get info on Chinese made products. The mechanics working their are good but as I am sure you are aware there is quite a communication barrier and even if you spoke Vietnamese I dont think one would get documented facts simply ones based on experience. As far as the loader valves they are pretty generac as any loader valve can be made to work with these loaders fairly easily. I have even ordered cheap valves from A&I products to uses on VTek Loaders. Your seals in the valve are just standard metric O-rings. I buy a cheap O-ring kit from places like Harbor Frieght to use whenever I have a loader with a blown seal. They work well and are strong enough to do the job. Whenever I have needed a part they typically had them on hand...cylinder, seals, ect. I know they can order them and have them shipped with containers of tractors from Vietnam. As far as curl specs, I do not have any number to throw out there, Sorry.

On a side note years ago a guy would bring a bunch of Bulldog loaders to the auction in Idabel, OK. This was before my time in the business but its too bad becuase he was selling them for like $800 or something silly cheap like that. Now this was just the loader, the valves and mounts were seperate but sill at that price one could put a loader on a tractor for less than $1500.
