Diet is a crazy thing. One of the biggest things I have learned is just to stay on the outer rim of the shopping center. That is where the unprocessed foods are. Down the aisles are processed foods. Those are no good for you.

Of course the other day I was in a pizza joint that advertised their pizza contained "no chemicals". Of course that is BS. Water is a chemical for crying out loud. They meant to say all natural or organic or some such.

My friend that was with me is a PhD in Chemistry. So he thought we were eating nothing.

Thanks. After nearly three years thinking about different ways of eating I simply amazed at the very different ways people can eat and still get great health benefits. Clearly they are many different ways of eating.

Eating, moving and thinking in a way that lowers one CRP (C-Reactive Protein) levels seems to be key to many of us. So many of the autoimmune type diseases seem to be related to a leaking gut and the neurological disease types seem to be due to a leaking BBB (Blood Brain Barrier) it seems.

After cutting out added sugar, all forms of all grains therefore all highly processed foods my pain dropped like a rock in just 30 days but it was day 45 before I lost the first pound so it was not the weight loss that gave me most of my good pain management.

With great pain management from mainly due to my way of eating for over two years now with no regains makes it easy from me to stay on the Low Carb High Fat Way Of Eating.

I love sweets but sugar makes my joints hurt. In my case my wife and I tried the Whole 30 diet with great results. Amazing what changing your diet can do. Almost as amazing is what has sugar in it. Try buying something as simple as salad dressing with no sugar.

As for commenting on your site, it looks like you need some sort of log-in to do it.

Low Carb can mean anything less that 150 grams of carbs daily.

Typically to be Keto it will mean less than 50 grams of total carbs daily.

I shoot for about 50 grams daily but do drift in and out of a state of nutritional ketosis.

On a side note eating this way has fixed many 40 year old health problems. Stopping/slowing cataract development was a surprise. Time will tell on that one. Dropping my blood sugar levels by diet has been helpful all away around so far.

A coworker just returned from spending two weeks in Haiti. He said he did not really do much exercise while there but he ate constantly yet he lost almost 10 pounds. How? He was not eating processed foods high in HFC and other sugars. Though he did eat a fair amount of evil white rice. :licking::D

i will check into this keto diet and see what happens. my issue would be Levaquin(antibiotic) poisoning. beware of that. messes up your tendons. affected my arches(feet), my elbows(like severe tennis elbow), shoulders, back. of course just getting old probably doesn't help.
