Wallenstein BX42 pricing

I have been checking out chippers for a while and I believe Wallenstein sells their chippers in such a way that if you have the manual feed you can swap it out at a later date to a hydraulic feed and not change the whole chipper. If that is the case, you probably have to buy one feed or the other.

I contacted the dealer today and the price, with the manual feed (out the door) is $2,430, so that sounds like a better deal than I have seen elsewhere.

That out the door price seems good. I paid around 2500 otd this past November. I am very happy with it. I use the manual feed hopper and find it feeds green and dried woods very well.

Never thought of it being sold without the feed chute. Be careful, that dealer might charge extra for the paint or the blades. What, you need a pto drive shaft? And U joints? Now let me add up those prices.

The dealer didn't give him a quote with out the manual feed hopper. The way it's built there is a base unit and then you choose the type of feed. The base unit has its price and each feed has its price. i don't see a problem.

You will be happy with that chipper. We got the 62, but just because it was only a few hundred more and wanted to make sure that we had as big as we wanted to start. Very nice chipper.

It is clear that it comes with a PTO. He is a small dealer in a small town, so I don't think he would get away with the "nickel and diming" you to death. Anyway, if I would have to have paid for manual chute extra, it wouldn't be a deal breaker, but he was clear that the price included the manual feed.

Since I have a wood furnace, I would never burn 6" wood, or that matter even 4" wood. the wood on my land is mostly jackpine (ugly), which I normally don't burn, but with firewood (oak, maple) at $1,000 for a ten cord load, I have decided to burn my dead jackpine.

Look at the Wallenstein website all the chipppers are shown with a feed chute. The only optional pricing is if you want the hydraulic feeder. We have a BX62 to be delivered tomorrow, no mention by the distributor of any additional items needed. comes complete with manual feed chute, pto shaft, knives on the cutter head and is painted orange to match our Kioti DK55.
