Wallenstein Hyd. Valve Problem

Recently purchased a new Wallenstein GX700 backhoe . First usage revealed a very stiff control valve. (main boom ,had to moderately force lever)

After futher usage(20 min.) valve began to move more freely but locks (detent style) in both lift & lower positions . Dealer /Mechanic says "stiff spool" !

Anyone out there had a similar Wallenstein problem ?

Any advice greatly appreciated !

I'd love to offer some help, but I really can't. I've had a Wallenstein GX700 backhoe for four years, no issues at all.

Thanks for the reply , it's good to hear that in 4 yrs. there've been no issues with your hoe .

Uncertain what my problem may be at this stage but its encouraging to hear good news. Hopefully with continued usage the valve will continue to loosen .
