Wallenstein Thumb for BX25 HELP

Sorry if this is a stupid question but can anyone tell me where they are purchasing their Wallenstein thumb's? My local wants $600 +tx for the thing but I'm sure it must be cheaper elsewhere. I'm in Canada (Newfoundland) and we often get soaked on this type of thing. Shipping is killer when ordering online.

The Thumb is great!! The fact that it self stores compared to its competition is a real selling point.

Only negative is the thumb mount sometimes causes mud to cake into the bucket when curled. This only happens when the bucket is heaping and the material has a lot of clay. 99% of the time its a non issue.

Wallenstein is based in St Clements, in Southern Ontario. Give them a call 1-877-695-9283. They do not sell direct to Canadians. In Canada you must purchase through a dealer. Last year, I tried to purchase a backhoe direct, but no go. Not sure it they sell direct to consumers in the USA.

I wish they had details about their thumbs on their website.

The thumb was "$425 out the door" for another member in NH. So I think $600 is a higher than it should be.

Looked back at my records and it was 425+tax I paid for the wallenstein, I misspoke before.

GetALoadOfThat try Eastern Turf in Halifax. That price was at the time of tractor purchase, so I cant guarantee it is applicable to a one time sale.

You'd still have shipping however and that could eat up a lot of the savings.

Update to my original post. When the Wallenstein thumb didn't quite fit on my BX25 dipstick, I called the dealer where I bought it. They immediately sent out a new one. (Very impressed with their service) The new fit great. They said not to bother sending the 1st one back. Now I have an extra thumb! I used a double nutted stud to spread the cheeks a little and now it will fit ok.
