Theres not a thing in the world wrong w/ole Wally mart. As stated previously if it meets the manufacturers spec requirements then whats left? Warren pretty much has a hold on the lubricants arena where tractors are concerned.

This is just another case where people spend money for a small gain. I see it in other areas too. People who could spend XXX dollars for a fine product will happily spent XXXX dollars for a "high end name brand" product with a less than 5% gain.

I'm just curious as to the TBN and the sulfated ash ratings which I can't seem to locate?

Your not going to find a TBN (total base number) on anything but internal combustion engine oil. TAN (total acid number) is used for everything else.

I can personally attest to the fact that using walmart oil in your tractor does not make is detonate.

I use the walmart UTF fluid in my tractors, namely because some of them are open sump jobs and I'm dumping nearly 50 qts in -each- to fill them.

I've been running wall-utf inmy NH 7610s since I got it.. same with my ford 5000.. when you change 100 qts of oil for just those 2 tractors.. cost adds up quick. Then factor in the 4 other tractos I have to maintain.. and the money really adds up.

I used wally-utf in my previous ford. a NH 1920 which i bought from the local ford dealer. then traded a few years later for the larger 7610s.. the 1920 had no problems with the oil.. it ran it in the open sump, and front final drives and pow steering.

Last year I had a damaged remote replaced on my 7610s ( defect in the pilot on the valve. not lube related ) The dealer had to go thru my hyd system on the back end while trouble shooting and repair in it.

Shop foreman said it looked great.. pump and relief were 'perfect' and system was clean. the orings they encountered ( and replaced ) were all in good shape.. but i paid the extra few bucks for all new orings.. In short... the wally-mart UTF was fine...

I would not willingly put Wally world brand anything in my $25000 tractor.
Someday I may change my mind, but until then I'll pay the extra for Brand name oil.

It all comes from the same source, just gets put into different jugs.

No valid reason to pay more for a "brand name".

There is no way that you can actually believe that, right ?

Do you believe that a Hydro-Cracked Oil and a PAO Based oil are the same ?

Please expound upon this Doc as I am by no means an expert but always willing to lean.

Not for nothing boys but all make auto's and trucks come out of a factory, does that mean they are all the same?

All tractor's come out of a factory, so does that mean they are all the same?
