12 storage and 600x900 resolution?
I'm the OP on this so get un-bored because I just bought one on an early Black Friday deal. It's a Toshiba 17.3" laptop,2.4GHz Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 12 storage, Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600, touch screen and W8, higher grade audio, 600 x 900 Native Resolution, 17.3" TruBrite LED-Backlit Touchscreen, TB 5400rpm Hard Drive, 百uperMulti DVD Burner, etc.
I got it at Costco so if I have a problem I won't have a problem. What helped sell me was the 4.5 rating ratings since most everyone was happy with it.
I read almost every post here but didn't understand some of them. Actually more than some and I'm OK with that. If this works, and I believe it will, it works. if it doesn't, it doesn't. My expected useful life for me is two years and by then we'll see what has changed and I'll go from there.
Never did I expect so many posts and so much chatter but I got what I feel will work for me and thanks to all. Since this is a subjective topic, I expect many here would have bought something different. If so, maybe don't tell me and I'll feel better.![]()

A few of the ... what?uhh...make that 1600. I cut and pasted things and the "1" showed up as a question mark so I deleted it. Expect other errors since I deleted a few of the,.
A few of the ... what?
Just yanking...
Should be a nice laptop for ya. If it holds out, dont expect to 'be obsolete' in only 2 yrs however.. I made it all the way through Win7 SP1 with a Pentium4 HT 3.2ghz system I bought in 2/2004.. Still going strong![]()
It would be my guess that her HP was actually made and shipped before the middle of October. I ordered mine, with Windows 8, on Oct. 14 and was told at the time we had to get it right because the order could not be changed. Sure enough, only a day later, they were showing them with 8.1. Mine shipped from the factory in China on Oct. 22. I've forgotten what date it arrived, but on Oct. 31, I downloaded and installed 8.1, a process that took 2 hours and 20 minutes.
You are welcome to try., uh... here anytime.. :drink:Good thing on the kidding. I was getting ready to load the truck and head over to Indiana to kick some Hoosier cans around.
Equally kidding--thank you.
online mine shows 8.1 as the os. out of the box it was 8.
I went to the app store. ( took 2 tries ).. and it gave me the option to get ie11 and 8.1 at one pop. like 3.2g download. I left it going onmy 1.5 dsl connection and went to work..
