Dealer Want to purchase CK20, but dealer is 70 miles away

No, I was not bashing the brand......just offering a difference in opinion comparing the two....two members grossly exagerated the difference between the two tractors....the following are quotes:

."Absolutely no comparison between the two (Subcut vs. Cut)"

"I think you should have a closer look at the two tractors. They are not really comparable. The Kioti is bigger, stronger and heavier. It's probably a little more expensive, but it's a lot more tractor."

Those two quotes are inaccurate...I posted the specs....in fact showing the BX to have superior power...then the attacks flew, with no backing except for hot headed opinion.

I would not want to see a person make a $20,000 mistake.

Wow....youi Kioti guys have some small opinon of yourself. I have not bashed you nor your tractors....

I can't help it if you all are insecure in your decisions on your own choice of tractor to personally attack the others.

It's a sad day when the most active subject in your forum is filled with negative owners using nothing but personal attacks to somehow try to sway a buyer to their tractor choice. In fact, your own insecurity is so profound, that you would seek out my post and proceed to insult the news of my own tractor delivery....hmmm....I am very glad I do not have to rely on your Kioti collective wisdom to help me out if I need it.

Good Luck to all prospecive Kioti owners!!!

Nor would I !!
But you have to remember which forum you post on .
Kioti has a very dedicated bunch of followers . And it's because they have machines that work well .
The remarks that you got reflect that .
How about some new Kioti owner comes to the Kubota FDorum and says ............
Kubota's are under weight , over priced , Etc... Pretty inflammatory , NO ? How would you react ? Just enjoy YOUR tractor . Let Others do the same . You've got the BX that you want and are happy with , ENJOY it . All the best John

Sometimes I think that people should have all their posts moderated because they just don't think before they type. I like to have some fun with some posters, but I will never insult them or their tractor brands. There is a difference between joking and being arrogant and disrespectful. Unfortunately some of the posters on this thread don't see it that way nor do they seem to have any care in the world other than their opinionated mindset. I guess that common courtesy isn't too common now days on TBN when some decide that they want to make their point heard ....

I have arbitrarily picked "shoppintractor" to reply to, but my comments are not directed to or about him, but to all the "combatants" in this discussion. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

If he gets a good Kioti like I did, he won't need the dealer for warranty work. I looked at the BX22 when I was first shopping for a tractor. The lower clearance just wouldn't do for the woods work I wanted to do. The tires on the BX were only about the size of my lawn tractor and I didn't feel they would dig in when I need them to, especially with the lower overall weight which wouldn't make an advantage of the slightly higher HP of the BX. Adding a loader and BH to the Kioti made it a much more attractive package for MY needs. The BX, and all Kubotas are fine tractors, but neither the BX nor the B7610 I was originally interested in offered me what I wanted for the price I wanted. As I said earlier, my dealer is 35 miles away, and I haven't need him for warranty work on the tractor. The Kubota dealer is less than 1 mile away, wouldn't come off the price, made me wait for a long time before even approaching me, and couldn't offer me what I need for the right price. It's all subjective, and I wouldn't think of going to a forum and making an attempt to denegrate another brand. I have, indeed, mentioned other's opinions on occasion simply because someone had asked, but I tend to believe that most tractors are pretty good, and that a person with experience in tractors knows a great one when he/she sees it. The Kioti fits that bill. John

I am not going to get involved with the comparison, being a Kubota dealer my opinion is clearly biased. However I do have a stack of equipment blue books with some information that might clear some things up in reguards to resale.

Over 3 years, Kioti tractors loose %55-60 of their value, Kubota looses %40-45

Over 15 years Kioti trators fall to %20-25 of their sale value, Kubota never really drops below %35

If your not NH/Deere/Kubota this is what happens, Kioti's drop is not nearly as huge as long, zetor, etc. Good reasons for this. A more proven product with a better developed parts and service chain will hold its value better in the long run. Kioti is clearly a step ahead of many small companies, but they have a long way to go before they have the reputation thats going to help that resale value hold like the big 3.

The numbers are also area dependant. For the dealership that I work for, we would not be able to give a that kind of amount to any Kioti tractor. The nearest dealer that we could get parts from is about 200 miles away and there is no way that we could properly support that machine. Same thing happens with very old equipment which parts support has ended for.

All numbers from the Ground Equipment Blue Book from April 1st 2003.
