Peggy's Cove,Halifax, Cape Bretton, PEI- all are wonderful places to visit. We took the ferry from Bar Harbor, Me to NS and returned to Maine by car. Wonderful places, wonderful people. Well worth the visit.

Thanks for all the comments. We will probably shove off next week (after the rain). We are just wrapping up some yard work and prepping for fruit trees in the spring. Then we can relax for the winter.

Late Summer/early fall is a nice time of year. Annapolis Valley/Wolfville area. Check the farmers market on Saturday's. Various microbreweries, Pete's winery. The Port Pub in Port Williams. Grand Pre Historic Centre. Great chowder & pie at Evangeline restaurant in Grand Pre. Peggy's Cove, Halifax's historic properties & Citadel Hill. Hall's Harbour/Scots Bay - high tides up to ~16+ metres. Look for Fundy marbles on the beach. Walk the trail to Cape Split. Lunenburg fisheries museum. Maybe the Bluenose will be docked there. White Point beach resort. Cabot Trail/Cape Breton Highlands. Fortress Louisbourg. Go down under the sea in the Oceans deep coal mine. Alexander Graham Bell historic site. Driving the Confederation bridge linking PEI to the mainland. Sandy beaches along the Sunrise trail. Whale watching around the Digby area. Scottish heritage along the Ceilidh trail. Lots of places & great people to visit. Don't be afraid to stop and talk with the locals. Friendly & interesting people. I have visited Maine, nice place!
