I have the STC Crestons. Best boot I have ever worn. In fact I bought two pairs at once last time. They have been to the North Pole twice.... so I would say they're pretty darn warm. :thumbsup:
There is a problem though. On their website, they claim to be 100% Canadian made and owned. However, the tongue tag clearly says made in China....
The Canadian content rule states that as long as 50% of the retail price is Canadian then it is rated 'Canadian'.
The profits taken at all levels of distribution usually exceed the 50.
Buy the raw finished product offshore, add a local package, local instruction sheet parts list etc and all the margins of markups at different levels of distribution and voila: you product is Canadian!
Oh, and if you pay the shipping, that's also cdn. content.
