My new tractor is adorned with a plentiful bounty of warning stickers and labels. They are even reprinted in the manual as well. This may be a ridiculous question, but does anybody remove these things?

Oh, yea. Stickers are the first thing to go on anything I buy. I have been known to remove dealer stickers from a new vehicle before leaving the car lot.

The only new car I've ever bought had this bright yellow airbag sticker in the middle of the dash.

I removed it at the lot.

The next time I brought it in for the free "First" service, they installed a new sticker... so I removed it again!

Removing dealer propaganda stickers is mandatory! However I would not remove the danger warning stickers. They are a reminder not to do anything stupid! Even the safest of us get complacent at times.

Those stickers are there to protect the manufacturer from lawsuit in case of operator stupidity and ignorance.

You have just opened yourself up for a lawsuit if someone other than yourself uses the tractor and gets hurt or dies,..

I removed the dealer's as soon as I got home, I figure they don't pay me to advertise on my rig!!!

When I picked up my new truck the salesman took off the dealer sticker. Comment was "these sure are stupid looking" I thanked him prior to pulling out of the lot.

Removing those stickers is almost as serious an offense as tearing the sticker off a mattress!

Those stickers are the last barrier to the complete takeover of our world by women. Being highly verbal creatures, they are easily impressed by words of warning from a knowing source. As long as most of them remain impressed as to the difficulties and dangers of operating equipment, we will be left to operate our <strike> toys </strike> tractors in peace. With the labels gone, they will notice the ease of use and versatility of tractors and co-opt them for their own purposes; like they do everything else...leaving us with the couch and the TV. Your sticker removal just puts another breach in the levee that holds back the female tide.

Actually the above information was contained in a prototype "Remove upon Reading" sticker that was to be placed on all new equipment. However, someone pointed out that guys never read the stickers so it might never get removed and the ladies, who do read the stickers, would be onto the game. The warning sticker bureaucracy went back to the drawing board and is still trying to work this one out....with a sticker, naturally.

reasonable stickers to support operation stayed on.

Dealer stickors were advised in advance to not be applied. Good product, pricing and support will make me happy with my tractor. I will then provide the best advertising by word of mouth. Everyone here researches their intendended purchase, and who better to get info from than a satisfied owner.

Redundant ridiculous warning stickers that seem to act as predatory vine or weed were appropriately deleted. It is amazing how much orange paint is exposed making me feel safer when plowing snow or transporting between locations on the road. None of the stickers are reflectorized. In my mind safety first!

Each to their own. My tractor sure looks sharp!

I used to laugh at that as it's obviously aimed at dealers, but now understand why. I bought a mattress several years ago from a place in Ft Myers Florida that "bill's" itself as "half priced bedding". The box springs on mattresses are pretty lame and yet they cost as much as the mattress. They bring out my Serta mattress and "matching" box springs. Later that day I notice the Spring Air label had been cut off the springs (which were also bent btw) and Serta plastic corners had been amaturely added to the corners. I called the owner of the business and told him the box springs were supposed to be the same brand and quality of the mattress of which he had an overly quick reply "they are, didn't you see the plastic corner protector label on them". I said yes, you mean the ones with the new staples barely holding them on? Yes I saw them, and I also saw the original tag that was cut off, they didn't cut it short enough to eliminate me seeing the name Spring Air. He instructs me they will send a guy out and I may come into his store to choose any item I want. Looking back what I should have done is called the state attorney. To top it off. Some time later the wife said her watch and other items were missing from her jewelry cabinet that was sitting in the room. I remember walking down the hallway as they were taking the mattress into the room and was quickly blocked from proceeding by the delivery thug....now I wonder if the watch and other items didn't disappear with the delivery guys.

Whenever I'm over in the USA, I make sure i take the time to go into stores to look at machines that have all your warning stickers on them! It cracks me up to read all the stuff on the labels.
I'm sure pretty soon you guys will have warnings on - hammers "do not hit your thumb with this hammer" or - screwdrivers "Do not stick this screwdriver in your eye" .... lol

It'll only be a matter of time before we catch up i suppose

Regarding those warning labels that you remove
When this equipment is used by someone else or the machine is sold I believe all of those warnings will have to be reapplied so as to protect future operators otherwise I smell Lawyers in the woodpile

Gone are the days when you can just instruct someone who uses your tractor to "be careful". We need stickers to remind us to think. I like the pictographs like the guy in a tractor on a steep hill falling out because he doesn't have his seatbelt on. Pretty sure some wordy girl is responsible for all the stickers, us guys would just stick with the pictures.

I like the stickers of the guy getting coiled up around a PTO shaft.

Perhaps I'm insane, but I'd probably order a sticker replacement pack before removing my stickers just so that I could put it back to its original form if I had to. It wouldn't be a numbers-matching tractor anymore though.

I love how these stickers exist in the tiny BX22 toys too, and that supposedly if you magnify them enough, you can read them.

Do like my kid did on his ATV several years ago.. Just put nice looking stickers over the warning stickers. Of course his at the time were of Britney Spears etc.

I figure you guys could glue pics of your kids or grandkids over the warnings and when you sell it just remove them...
