Only Torinos I knew were all RWD, sister had a '74 model and I used to street race against
the '69-'72 models and those were all RWD too.

"Ford's newest bright idea" as they termed it, didn't include a FWD version. Perhaps you are thinking of another model.

Maybe you were thinking about an Oldsmobile Toranado. It and the Cadilac Eldorado were Front Wheel Drive. I believe the Toranado was the first American Front Wheel Drive since the 1937 Cord. Made from 1966 to 1992

My bad. The "T" I was thinking of was the Olds Toranado in the 60's. Of course that was a GM car. BTW, Ford had on the drawing boards/concept in the 60's a FWD Thunderbird, which is probably where I got confused. Happens in old age. :confused2:

I knew a guy that owned a 1966 Toronado with the 455 engine. I saw his kid lay rubber from a dead stop to about 160 feet! It looked pretty weird with all that smoke coming off of the front wheels. Pretty rockin' car in the day.

I was thinking, if you left one of those attached to your hitch receiver while driving, and the bag had something in it, odds are it would really discourage TAILgaters...pun intended.

That is a very good idea!:laughing:

Back about 15 years ago when I was 16 I had a made friends with an old hot rodder. He took a 455 Toronado drive train and mated it to a Corvair then put 400 pounds of lead in the frontend. That was a mean ride made alot of the hopped up Mustangs and Camaros go home on saturday nights.
Saw a warning today at Napa. On a pack of taps It says Lifetime waranty. On the back it says THis product not covered by Napa s lifetime warranty policy.

Blame the legislature who's laws don't stop frivilous law suites. Oh, those are lawyers. Sounds like a conflict of interest.

I believe we ought be able to sue for anything. Isn't it supposed to be the jurors deciding what's frivolous and what isn't? If we could exercise a little common sense, such cases wouldn't be attempted so often because they wouldn't pay off nearly as much.

I believe the failure is in the fact that there doesn't seem to be twelve people left in this country with any sense.

What is the difference between a Limited Lifetime Warranty and a Lifetime Warranty? I always wonder what they mean?
