Hi again everyone. I was given a good price from one of the boards referals. My local dealer said they can repair but I have to put the warranty through who I purchased it from.

Has anyone had a problem with a warranty repair from the dealer they did not buy from that is servicing the unit.

It's looking like a BX23

what? The warranty is throught Kubota not any dealer.

So that being said ANY, ANY Kubota dealer can service the unit and that dealer (one who fixes it) puts in the "bill" to Kubota.

Another reason why some non-selling dealers should be allowed to sell, anything.

Example, my BX22 has the fuel sending unit issue. So either I can bring it to my selling dealer or my local dealer. I would never bring the BX to my local dealer. I would not waste my time with them. They start to play the "where did you buy it game" since their prices are 20% over retail.

Sounds like your local dealer is also doing "the "game" also. They get mad since there prices are HIGH and people go somewhere else.

If I purchase from the out of state dealer, the distant will be 175 miles away, vs 20 miles away + $800 to the bill.

In you reply, you mentioned you would not use your local person. Do you then send you unit ot drive a couple hundred miles. Just asking.

I the Kubota is under warranty, can the local dealer refuse to work on it? Ready to pull the pin and needed some thoughts on what others would do.

My local dealer has been pretty good, so I plan on sending my BX23 there for warranty should I have any problems. They told me any Kubota dealer would service it per Kubota's policy. If any other dealer would not service it while it was under warranty, then I should contact Kubota and get them involved, and the problem would be resolved very quickly by Kubota. I don't know how true that is, but I suspect it's accurate. I asked about service at other dealers, because I own a rental property in Atlanta, and will probably be hauling the tractor to Atlanta once a year. It was a "just in case" type of question that I posed.

Do what you feel best. I bought mine out of state and about 1.5 hours away (one way). It was/still is worth the almost $3,000K (unit price plus ZERO TAX savings). Plus I usually get free items when I go back.

I drive back to this guy (my dealer) since out of 5 dealers I talked to, he was the best priced, easy to work with, and did not give me any BS.

Any dealer could, in reality, not work on any unit. It comes down to do they want to pay their bills or not. I do not know what policies Kubota has; but, I am sure from a $$$$$ and business standpoint, they would be pretty upset (for a clean post).

From what I know any dealer can do warranty. Most just put you "in the back" when you bring it in since "their" people come first. On the flip since my dealer fixes all items as they come in and what has parts to be fixed. They is not "special treatment"; unless, like me are driving out and they have a person ready to fix.

Not true. I bought mine over three hours away and my local dealer has fixed two warrantee issues for me with no problem concerning the purchase location. All Kubota dealers are required to do warrantee work if they have maintenance facilities to perform such work. If they will not, it will only take a call to the regional manager of Kubota to resolve the issue. That being said, you may have to wait a little longer to get the work done due to the dealers customers will have priority.

Is this true with Kubota? I know I had issue with wife's mini van that a supposed 5 star dealer that always serviced vehicle (but not where I purchased) refused to fix even when Chrysler said they would approve it. Chrysler told me they could not force them to do work, they did find me a dealer willing to do the work. I was 1 day over warranty even though vehicle was in their shop before warranty ended.

In my opinion Kubota's warrenty is not worth the powder to blow it to he^%. I have tryed for almost 2 years to get them to get rid of the noise in my tranny(GST) 3830. I have even e-mailed kubota's web site and they have said it probably has too much back lash in the gears. Dealer wants me to wait till it wears in. I say bull, so I have no choice but to trade for blue or green while it is still in warrenty or write a letter to my attonery general's office.

Kubota can not force a dealer to do warranty work unless it is a safety related item recall. That is the only time that they have any control over how the dealership does repairs. It would not be wise for a dealer to refuse work, warranty or paid, but many do. No one ever said that just because they sold Kubota tractors, that they were good business people. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase where the price is the best. In the very slim chance that you need you can either pay to have it done at a local dealership or take it back to the selling dealer. I have over 125 hours on my machine and no problems. Most others that own BX tractors will also report the same experiences. If the local dealer didn't want to do the warranty work, an offer to pay the difference between what Kubota pays for the work and the actual retail price usually will change their minds. Think of your $$$$ savings as your self insuring your tractors future warranty issues....

Hi Junkman..been waiting for your feedback. Can ask who services your BX since we're in the same state.

if you were ordering the bx23m would you order any supplies like filters or any other supplys good to keep around.

Would you order the optional stabalizer bars for the backhoe?

Are all B23s the same (example 22 HP) or are there 2 models. My local dealer when sending a quote said 21 HP BX23.

Glad your on-line to-nite
