I really like this wash out port that my dealer installed on my 54C MMM.

You plug in a hose to it and run the blades for a couple of minutes when you finish mowing and it creates a "car wash" effect under the deck.

They have had good luck with it so far in used with commercial lawn care guys.

Shot of the whole deck.

Look at the left by the back wheel...

Looks good. What are the part numbers ? I realize they are not Deere parts, but wonder if you have the info on what was inserted. I'd put a quick connect on there so the hose could just be snapped on like the quick connects on an air hose or hyd coupler.

On my 54" deck, I added (had the dealer add) an anti-scalp roller in the center rear, and it tucks under the overhang of the top decking. See pic

There is no part number. Basically, It is a brass hose fitting. they drilled a hole and somehow bolted it down to the deck. I have not looked underneath yet to see if there is a nozzle or how it's fastened but I will do that and take some pics.

I don't know if it is because of the gator blades or how the 62C works, but here is a pic of my deck at the end of last season. I had never cleaned it all year, and those of you who paid any attention the the weather the Northeast had last year, we had tons of rain, and many cuttings took place in less than optimum conditions. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That's pretty impressive! I don't think that my walk-behind that only gets used for trimming looked that good!

must be the gator blades--mine was pretty well "gunked up" at the end of the year.

I have that same fitting in my plumbing stock, Perhaps I will modify a deck wash fitting myself:)

Is there a fitting above all three blades? I wonder how well the water will reach the third blade.

I remember my old Bolens (tube frame) had something like that too.

There is only one fitting one the opposite side of the discharge. I asked the dealer about it and he told me that it works well enough with one that all the water works through and sprays out the discharge side.

Time will tell...
